Safety Ticket to be launched in October

The Safety Committee’s TG7 working group has now completed the development of the SSG Safety Ticket, an interactive protection and safety training course aimed at all personnel in the pulp & paper industry.

This project was previously conducted under the auspices of the Swedish Forest Industries Federation while three Swedish mills - Billerud Skärblacka, Södra Mörrum and Stora Enso Skutskär – have produced similar courses under the name Your Workplace.

The training course consists of two parts. One is a general, basic course and the other part is a local segment based on each mill’s own customized training modules. The course will touch upon applicable laws and regulations and how these affect mill staff.

When all of the course’s sections are successfully completed the employee is issued a Safety Ticket.

The Safety Ticket course will be fully developed and introduced at the Safety Conference, 27-28 September and become available beginning in October.
