Suitable knowledge of the SSG Delivery Contract enables the purchaser and the supplier with efficient tools to manage a deal, concluded in a constructive contract. Such knowledge comprises the main SSG delivery contract, the general conditions 90-12 and the new frame contract. The contracts have been tried out for many years for purchases at main process industries as well as less complicated purchases with or without erection.
Training
SSG offers customised trainings on the most recent editions of the contracts, on usage of the contract documents and supplies information about forthcoming modifications. The training usually takes place during one full day and is typically held at a plant/industry unit for a purchaser or sales office/production unit for a supplier. It described how to create a new contract, an appendix, where to find index files (A-Z), manuals and readymade sets of complete contract and appendices. Customise the purchased document masters (under construction)
SSG's templates are protected against modifications. Most text clauses cannot be altered - there is however plenty of space and free fill in areas to add the essential data for each purchase. The parties can be confident that changes and modifications have not been done and any deviations from the fixed clauses could be searched for, in one particular section of the contract.
All such additions could be prepared, and added to SSGs master files (the templates) either on the fly or prior to distribution of the contract solution within a company/company group. This is also described in English in the manual accessible for each user of the SSG contract (SSG menu, Help and PDF-files).

Descriptive file names (under construction)
On occasions users contact SSG pointing out that the description of the files are hard to understand. That is not how to use the contract documents. This video shows both the short and files names, consisting of letters and numbers, found on the CD/data media and the easy and clear method where documents and presented in English or in any other installed language version of the contract.

Installation of SSG templates for MS Word
Information for end-users & IT Admin
The installation is fast and easy as we have based our solution on a standard application, available at most companies. Microsoft Word is required and not included when purchasing the delivery contract solution. The installation for (an end user) requires two double clicks in a Word document on the root folder of the CD/data media supplied with the contract documents. The installation takes about 20 seconds.

Know issues
Managing delivery contracts from SSG does not offer a great challenge as the contract documents seamlessly fit into a standard solution, MS Word. In case of error reports, you will find information here:
Word hangs when exiting (Office 2010)
July 2010;
Making contracts and printing, saving works fine. When exiting Word might freeze and be forced to shut down. Does not affect any saved documents but might be irritating when it happens. We are working on it.

A new updates file SSG AddIn.dot has been developed. It eliminates the problems that might occur for some users, due to presence of some other AddIns loaded after the SSGAddIn. Contact us and to get a new updated add-in file.
