SSG Personal Environmental Certificate

The SSG Personal Environmental Certificate is an interactive environmental training course, adapted for and aimed at all personnel in the forest industry. The purpose of the course is to give all employees a basic environmental knowledge as well as insight into the environmental effects of the plant activities.

The need for this training has been identified by the forest industry group at the Swedish Institute for System Development (SISU), which assigned SSG the task of managing the development of the training course. The course is now ready for use and it is administrated by SSG.

The SSG Personal Environmental Certificate includes an in Sweden established basic course; "The Landscape". There are ten different sections covering for example the climate change, air pollution, over-fertilization etc. Now there is a supplementary part called "The Forest", which is adapted to the specific needs of the forest industry. In the future it will be possible to complement the course with a third part, "The Mill", containing specific information concerning a specific mill.
