SSG Publication License is a service for those whose operations require the production of material containing information from SSG. The most frequently used material is excerpts from SSG Standards for product catalogues, online catalogues and training materials.
Licensees can monitor and obtain access to updated material for the industry standards that apply to, for example, HVAC and electricity. At SSG’s website you also check which companies hold a Publication License and which dates apply for the latest orders for excerpts of material and texts.
The publication of material from SSG is only permitted for those who have signed a publication agreement with SSG. Under certain circumstances, such as at year-end 2007, companies publishing material from the pipe suspension standard received an extra delivery of material without handling charges since a major revision of that standard was underway.
How is the license fee charged?
- The Publication License is billed per year for the images and texts that are to be reproduced in, for example, product sheets online or in printed form.
- The handling charge is billed when the excerpt is ordered from the specified standards.
How do we order and how is the material delivered?
- Print out the SSG Standard containing the texts and images to be published. Then mark in some way which images and texts are of interest. This material is then sent to SSG by fax, letter or as a scanned file for review.
- SSG sends an order confirmation with pricing information to the person who placed the order. The confirmation will also contain information indicating if any of the marked material cannot be supplied. When we have reached an agreement on the scope and price the excerpts will be assembled in the form of an image file of good quality and a file containing the texts for publication.
- SSG sends notification when the excerpts have been compiled. Customers with an SSG Publication License can use a special link on SSG’s website to log in and download the ordered material.
